Christmas will come early this year at the HSHA annual Christmas in July adoptathon.
The event will be held on July 15 from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and will feature $10 cat adoptions, $20 dog adoptions, cookout, bake sale, affordable pet products, and more.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, vaccinations, and flea treatment. Despite lowered adoption fees, the adoption process and requirements will remain the same.
Christmas in July is held in an effort to encourage the community to visit HSHA and to ease typical summer overcrowding in the shelter. Each summer, hundreds of homeless pets, especially cats and kittens, find their way to HSHA.
This event is a prime opportunity to give a deserving homeless pet a loving new home and a second chance.
The 2016 event was a lot of fun for all that attended. Pets were adopted, dogs swam in pools, people endulged in the bake sale, and FURever homes were found.

Currently our greatest need is canned food for both dogs and cats! Our cats prefer pate but the pups aren't picky! In addition, we could use some Clorox Wipes to help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for all the sheter's residents.
Check out HSHA's Amazon Wish List for more specific needs.
We have several dogs and cats that are looking for a foster home. If you think you may be able to help, please visit our Fosters Needed page.
