This fiesty little pug/terrier mix is named Krueger (think Freddy Krueger...I arrived here a few weeks before Halloween). In his past life he was a stray and therefore hasn't had not had much in the way of obedience training. He loves to play and run around like a total clown, a characteristic of many pugs and terrier breeds! Due to the rough nature of his past, Krueger is sometimes unsure of quick movements and handling. Therefore, we believe the ideal foster homes will have kids ten years old or older. Krueger cannot live with cats, and he is a bit tense with other dogs at first. We are looking for the right home that has experience with introducing a dog to new dogs, people and situations. Obedience classes and lots of regular exercise are a must for Krueger. Although he is a little guy, he's very powerful and determined, so a firm pack leader will do wonders. Krueger has a cruciate ligament tear which will require surgery to repair. We are looking for a foster home that is willing to provide a quite place for Krueger to recooperate and nurse back to health following the surgery. The medical expenses will be handled by HSHA, we just need you to provide the loving and relaxing home for this sweet pup.
