Meet Miss Molly May! I know what you’re thinking – that’s a lot of dog – and you would certainly be correct on that one. This sweet girl is a full 80 pounds of love, good looks, and charm. Molly May first arrived at the shelter back in 2015, when she was taken from a neglectful owner. Soon thereafter, Molly Mae went to live a comfortable life in a new home with a great owner. But now the worst has happened, her second owner died.
Molly May, is nearly nine years old and like many senior dogs, she has a variety of medical issues, including arthritis. Stairs are really tough for this old gal. So the perfect home would only have one level. Given all upheavel in her life, she does not like to be alone. So, if you are someone who is home most of the time, then she will be your loyal companion! She enjoys sleeping at her owner's feet and help with whatever tasks her owner might be trying to complete. Molly May loves to go on walks, and will stay right at your side on a loose leash. Not too much fazes her. However, she is really focused on cats, so it would be best that her new home doesn't have any. She would also prefer to live in a quiet, calm house with no children under 8. Molly May came into the shelter with two other dogs, so she definitely wouldn't mind living with other dogs. She would enjoy if they mimicked her easy going personality. All in all, this deserving pup is just looking for a new home that will give her love, snuggles, and proper medical care as she approaches her golden years. The staff at HSHA can provide more details about Molly May's special needs. This girl is available for adoption or as a permanent foster.
Guess what? If you are 60 years or older, HSHA provides significant adoption fee discounts. My adoption fee would be free! For more information, go to http://www.humanesocietyhbg.org/mature-pets-for-mature-people
