Foxtrot

Foxtrot, renamed Toast, was originially brought in as a stray and later adopted, but at no fault of his own returned back to the shelter. It’s hard to believe this handsome boy with great basic manners found his way to the shelter, not once but twice. Fortunately, this guy was given yet another chance. We recently received this update from his new parents.

“He is the happiest, sweetest dog who loves his people, his dog brother, sniffing outside, naps, dog food time and his toy bunny. We are so glad we were able to adopt him from Harrisburg Humane Society!” Jane B.

How Can I Help Homeless Animals in My Community Today?

Currently our greatest need is canned food for both dogs and cats! Our cats prefer pate but the pups aren't picky! In addition, we could use some Clorox Wipes to help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for all the sheter's residents.

Check out HSHA's Amazon Wish List for more specific needs.

We have several dogs and cats that are looking for a foster home.  If you think you may be able to help, please visit our Fosters Needed page.
