Community Cats
Outdoor cats need love too
Our services increase the health and wellness of community cats while proactively reducing the number of animals being born without homes in our community. Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR) has been shown to be the most humane, most efficient, and least costly method of stabilizing community cat populations. We affordably provide basic healthcare to feral cats you bring to our facilities.
TNVR Services
TNVR appointments are $40 per cat and include spay/neuter surgery, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and ear tip. Cats must be brought in a humane live-release trap. Appointments are available Monday-Friday and some Saturdays. To learn more and to schedule an appointment, call 717.702.7330.
Walk-in TNVR Available
We can accommodate 2 walk-in TNR cats daily without an appointment Monday-Friday. These walk-ins are first-come first-served and must arrive by 8:30 am to our Veterinary Resource Center entrance. Walk-in TNVR is $40 per cat and includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and ear tip. Cats must be brought in a humane live-release trap
Trap rentals
Humane live-release traps are available for safely capturing, transporting, and releasing community cats. Traps may be rented for the fee of $10 per week. To rent a trap, please come in person to the Pet Resource Center entrance of the shelter, located at the rear of the building. Rentals are available as supplies allow.
Supporting rescue groups
We work with many rescue groups and other shelters to support their TNVR programs.
