Plunge Penguin, our mascot, is bummed about this year’s Plunge being canceled. She has been moping around the Shelter since we broke the news (in fact, you can see just how bummed she is in the video we captured!) However, you can help raise her spirits….by raising funds for the homeless animals of Central PA in our Honorary Penguin Plunge fundraiser!
Plunge Penguin is so excited at the fundraising everyone is doing, she simply cannot contain it!
Plunge Penguin can hardly believe it: even though this year’s Penguin Plunge is canceled, you are still raising money to help the homeless animals of Central PA. Wow! Check out Plunge Penguin helping the cause by spreading the word at the Shelter that you can donate to our Honorary Penguin Plunge fundraiser!
Without a Penguin Plunge this year, Plunge Penguin was really sad. How would we help the homeless animals? But you all stepped up in a big way – raising over $5,000 anyway! And Plunge Penguin cannot contain her excitement and appreciation!
About the Penguin Plunge: The Penguin Plunge will be celebrating 25 years in 2022, and the event has become a true tradition for many in Central PA. Participants raise funds to support the homeless animals of Central PA, then come together on New Years Day to plunge into the icy cold Susquehanna River. Hundreds more come to cheer on and watch these animal welfare warriors!
In addition to the Plunge, the event features a Pre-Plunge Chill Out Zone with food, beverage, activities and a place to hang out and get ready for the big event!
