What: The Virtual GLOW 5K Run/Walk for the Animals provides the community an opportunity for fun, fresh air, and exercise – all in the name of helping the homeless animals of Central PA!
Who: This virtual event is open to anyone – whether you are a serious runner or enjoy a casual walk! Medals will be awarded to the top finisher in multiple age categories and there will be several fun medal categories such as “Most Spirited” and “Completed 5K Furthest Distance From HSHA.” Participants that raise $75.00 or more will receive an exclusive GLOW 5K t-shirt!
Why: The GLOW 5K benefits the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA). The mission of HSHA is to build a better community for pets and people through compassion, protection, education, and collaboration. The organization accepts homeless animals regardless of their breed, age, medical condition, or behavioral condition and takes in thousands of homeless animals each year.
When: The race week begins Sunday, June 6th and should be completed on or before Saturday, June 12th. Users can connect their fitness device and have their results automatically uploaded to the event’s page!
Where: Anywhere! Your neighborhood, a trail, or a treadmill. You run/walk the race at any location you choose.
