NEWLYWEDS SPECIAL “WEDDING FAVOR”

Many couples in Central PA, and around the country, were forced to postpone their weddings last year due to COVID.

Kristi and MJ Palombo were no exception.  However, when they were able to finally tie the knot on October 8th, 2021, they were elated.  And, in lieu of wedding favors, the bride and groom decided to do something very special: they made a monetary donation to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area instead!

The Palombos have been supporters of HSHA for some time. In 2020, they fostered an adult dog, Kula, who needed some extra medical care. Kula ended up being in their care as a foster dog for 6 months. When she was cleared for adoption both Kristi and MJ decided they couldn’t bring her back. She was already part of their family! They made her adoption final soon after.

The couple says they are happy they can make this donation to support HSHA, the place that helped bring Kula into their lives, and hope it helps other homeless pets that are still waiting for their forever homes.
