Get Groovy at Poochella, a New Fundraising Event for HSHA

What:  Break out your tie-dye, bell bottoms, and flower crowns, and join us for a one-of-a-kind music festival located right at our shelter! The event features performances by local musicians, groovy activities for both humans and dogs, food, raffles, and lots of other fun.  Cost is pay by donation (with a suggested minimum donation of $10 per person)!

Who:  The mission of HSHA is to build a better community for pets and people through compassion, protection, education and collaboration.  The organization accepts homeless animals regardless of their breed, age, medical condition or behavioral condition and takes in thousands of homeless animals each year.

Why:  To benefit the homeless animals of Central PA, and showcase the positive impact music has on our furry friends!

Who should attend:  This event is fun for the whole family. Leashed dogs are welcome outside.  However, dogs are not permitted inside the shelter (please plan accordingly!).

When:   Saturday,  May 7th from 4pm to 7pm. This event is rain or shine, but rain may cause us to have to alter some of our plans!

The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a better community for pets and people through compassion, protection, education and collaboration.  HSHA accepts homeless animals regardless of their breed, age, medical condition, or behavioral condition.  However, HSHA does not euthanize adoptable animals due to lack of space or length of stay.  The shelter assists over 10,000 animals a year through its residential care and adoption program, low-cost veterinary clinics and Veterinary Resource Center, pet food programs, and counseling services.  Learn more at humanesocietyhbg.org.
