Do you work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the federal government or another place of business that participates in workplace giving?? If so, consider donating to HSHA through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or the State Employees Combined Appeal (SECA) or the United Way. HSHA’s codes are 4401-0027 (SECA) and 77697 (CFC) and 3022 (United Way).
Also, many employers will match contributions made to charitable organizations. Check with your human resources office about matching programs.
Pet lovers understand stewardship better than most. They know that no matter what else is happening in their lives, our pets will always be there for us. One way pet lovers can make sure they are also there for needy pets long into the future is through planned giving.
One of the easiest ways to support the Humane Society through planned giving is by remembering HSHA in your will. You can designate a specific dollar amount, leave a share of your estate, will a bank account, or leave stock. Simply contact your attorney to include HSHA in your will. Other examples of planned giving include donations through life insurance policies, trusts, annuities and estates.
The Humane Society's Guardian Angel program was designed to give the animal of your choice an increased opportunity at adoption. Fifty percent of the money you donate will be applied toward the adoption fee of the animal you select, reducing the price for a prospective adopter. The remaining 50% will be applied directly toward the care of this animal while in our shelter. Download the Guardian Angel Form here.
Sponsoring a kennel at HSHA is a great way to show your support! Sponsorships are on a yearly basis and are renewable. Each kennel sponsor receives an acknowledgement plaque on their kennel. Sponsor a kennel and show your love for the animals! Download a kennel sponsorship form here.
There are many reasons to make donations to a worthy cause. Many people donate in memory of a loved one who lived with a true passion for animals. By making a donation to HSHA in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, you know your donation will go to support the homeless animals of Central Pennsylvania. Download the Memorial/Honorary Donation form here.
Community Aid, one of HSHA's leading community partners, is a charitable organization that operates a local thrift store with the mission of creating jobs and supporting the community. This faith-based organization donates proceeds from the store back to the community. By donating clothing in any of Community Aid's bins around central PA (including the one located at HSHA), you are supporting both HSHA and the many other worthy charities supported by Community Aid. Do you own a business or have a location where a bin could be placed? Contact Community Aid. Donate today at their Mechanicsburg or Hanover stores or at the bin at HSHA's shelter.
