Humane Society of Harrisburg Area Introduces “Home for the Holidays” Foster Program
The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) is giving families an opportunity to enjoy some “four-legged” company over Christmas. HSHA’s new initiative, “Home for the Holidays,” gives shelter dogs a break from their kennels in a relaxing, home environment and gives a short-term foster opportunity for families looking to help an animal this holiday season.

Media Alert: It’s Christmas in July at the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area’s Adopt-a-Thon
We may be experiencing a summer heat wave, but the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) is celebrating like its Christmas Day! HSHA’s annual Christmas in July Adopt-a-Thon features a reduced adoption rate of $20 for all dogs and $10 for cats, kittens and critters. The reduced adoption rate still includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip and basic vaccines!
